Donations

Donations to the library of books, compact disks, DVDs, etc., 5 years old or newer are accepted in accordance with the library’s selection policy and may be added to the library’s collection or are added to the book sale to generate funds for collection development.

What to Donate?

We gratefully accept books that are:

We do not accept:

  • Popular
  • Recently published
  • Hardcover or paperback
  • In good condition
  • Textbooks
  • Books in poor condition (torn, faded, damaged, written-in/highlighted)
  • Encyclopedias and Reader's Digest

Donating damaged, moldy, or very out-of-date books costs the library staff time and storage space. Please consider recycling these items or dropping them off at the nearest take-away at your local landfill. 

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations of $10.00 or more are eligible for a tax deductible receipt.

Did you know?

Albertans are eligible for an Enhanced Charitable Tax Credit of 50 cents for every dollar you donate over $200.
